Legendary producer John Fryer and his Black Needle Noise project have another surprise in store for us: a new single featuring none other than the equally renowned Raymond Watts of PIG on vocals. With a perfect blend of Fryer’s intense production and Watts’ menacing, growling vocals, “Seed of Evil” is a dark track with equally sinister lyrics about letting evil overcome oneself. This match made in Hell results in a track you’ll find yourself playing on repeat for a while…
Watts was clearly excited about this new collaboration, and it shows in his answer when asked about the song: “When John Fryer called, it was like cream was fed to my poison crop. I was thrilled to lend Satan’s little helping hand to Black Needle Noise. The result from this marriage made in hell was appropriately called ‘Seed of Evil’ … it pours out of me into the night, where the devil ties it nice and tight.”
Fryer, meanwhile, had this to say: “After many a moon passing we finally get to work together again. I had to find the right song for Raymond but I think we have a great noise-pop hit on our hands. It’s been a real pleasure working with Raymond on this and I can’t wait to hear it in the clubs.”
“Seed of Evil” is available on Bandcamp here.
