Two weeks ago John Fryer released one more special treat for Black Needle Noise fans. He has surprised us with many breathtaking singles since the beginning of his BNN project and now we are waiting patiently for the second album to be compiled.
Although John finds his inspiration in angelic female voices, the last two BNN singles feature male songwriters and singers. After collaboration with Bill Leeb of Front Line Assembly he teamed up with another astonishing male vocalist. This time Black Needle Noise presents “Breathless Speechless” recorded in collaboration with Sivert Høyem, a Norwegian singer, best known as the vocalist of the Norwegian rock band Madrugada.
The song was a perfect choice for the partnership with Sivert. Høyem’s vocal is deep, inviting, mysterious and sensual and it fits the mystical and deeply atmospheric sound John has created. Although the song’s atmosphere is somewhat heavy, dark and puzzling, it’s at the same time utterly seductive, captivating and mesmerizing.
You can find a piece of John’s extraordinary imagination within every Black Needle Noise song. Every time we discover more about John Fryer, we discover more about ourselves. He encourages us to be introspective and that’s what truly astonishing artists do. They teach us how to discover more about our own world of emotions by selflessly inviting us into theirs.
