Mortiis’ “The Song of a Long Forgotten Ghost” remastered for its 25th anniversary

The beginnings of the “dungeon synth” movement can be traced back to Mortiis’ early 1993 demo The Song of a Long Forgotten Ghost. 25 years after its original release, this legendary record isn’t so long-forgotten anymore, thanks to a new remaster coming from a close collaboration between Mortiis and Jules Seifert of Epic Audio Media in London.

Cover-RGB----FI-093-Mortiis-GhostThe album will be reissued on LP and CD by Funeral Industries, with the LP being available in black and red versions. Physical versions are slated for release on December 14th. The digital release is handled by Omnipresence Productions, and is available on all major digital outlets as well as Mortiis’ Bandcamp page as of December 7th. The remaster also features new cover art by David Thierree, inspired by the demo’s original cover art and faithfully recreating Mortiis’ visions for the artwork.
